Delete your MedRecap account
You can permanently delete your MedRecap account and all of your data at any time. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone.
Delete from within the app (recommended)
- Open MedRecap and sign in.
- Go to the More tab.
- Tap Profile.
- Tap Delete my account and confirm.
Your account and data are erased right away. You do not need to contact us.
If you can't access the app
Email support@medrecap.app from the address on your MedRecap account and ask us to delete it. We verify ownership of the account and complete the deletion within 30 days (usually much sooner).
Delete specific data without closing your account
You don't have to delete your whole account to remove data. Signed in to the app, you can delete individual items directly from their screen:
- Recordings, transcripts, and visit summaries — open the visit and tap delete
- Medications, appointments, and to-do tasks — open the item and tap delete
- Health-record entries (conditions, allergies, surgeries, family history) — edit the section and remove the entry
- Daily health check-ins — open the entry in the health log and delete it
- Share links — open the visit's share screen and tap "Stop sharing"
Each deletion takes effect immediately. If you can't access the app, email support@medrecap.app and tell us what to remove.
What is deleted
Everything associated with your account is permanently deleted:
- Your name and email address
- All audio recordings, transcripts, and AI visit summaries
- Your health record — conditions, allergies, surgeries, family history, notes
- Medications, appointments, to-do tasks, and reminders
- Daily health check-ins and any custom trackers
- Any share links you created
- Product-analytics events associated with your account identifier
What is kept
Nothing is retained after deletion, except where we are legally required to keep limited records (for example, transaction records for a paid subscription, held by Apple or Google, not by MedRecap). We do not keep backups of deleted health data beyond the time technically required for our infrastructure provider to purge them, which does not exceed 30 days.
Subscriptions
Deleting your account does not automatically cancel a paid subscription. Cancel MedRecap Plus in your Apple ID or Google Play subscription settings before or after deleting your account to stop future charges.
